Australia to go retro in the ODIs against India

Australia are reportedly going back in time with their uniform and don the retro jersey popularized by Allan Border’s team in the 1986 series against India.

The kit will be used for the entire series that is starting on Saturday at the SCG. Returning fast bowler Peter Siddle looked pretty excited about their new (or old) gear. “It’s pretty awesome actually, we found out the other day we were going to be in it, so the boys were a bit excited to get their pack and open up and check it out. Everyone is pretty impressed,” he said.

The speedster wanted to add a headband to his gear. “I might just pull out a headband as well. I’ll have to ask Zamps (Adam Zampa) to borrow one of his and go with the DK (Lillee) headband. Let’s see what we pull out on Saturday,” he added.

India are scheduled to play 3 ODIs starting in Sydney followed by games in Adelaide and Melbourne. A return limited overs leg has also been announced by BCCI.
