Australia vs India 1st T20 preview and press conferences

The wait is over!!

Its India’s tour of Austalia. India is traveling down under in this season. They are going to play 3T20s, 3ODIs and 4 test starting from Nov 21st at the Gabba.

India is coming back from clinical performances by winning 7 series victories on the run and sometimes even without their star players like Kohli, Bumrah and other players rested. Whereas, Austalia is coming back from dismal show against Pakistan and South Africa and they have lost 6 games out o.f their 8 games.

Austalia.’s newly appointed captain Aaron Finch said “We feel as though we’ve been building really nicely without getting results going our way so far”. The performances that they have put in hasn’t been their best but to remind you that they are without their prolific batting pair of Steven Smith and David Warner who have undoubtedly been their best players in 5 years or so. No excuses, they have their task cut against the might Indian squad.

India squad is full of strength and they have the.ir best players fit and raring to go on this tour. With Virat Kohli, Bhuvi and Bhumrah coming back to the T20 circuit it makes them even more deadly. Indian top order looks rock solid with Ro’Hit’man Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan opening the batting and they are part of top 5 run getters in T20s this season and with the likes of KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant and Krunal Pandya a reliable all-rounder to add more strength to the squad. In the bowling dept, Bhuvi has been standout in the all the IPLs he has played and in combination with Bhumrah who is a specialist in this kind of games can finish the games off in a blink of an eye.

Coming to Australian squad, batting has been their concern as they have one of the best hitters of the game in Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch. The whole of their batting is relying on their captain and ‘Big Show’ and apart from them, they have Chris Lynn who has shown in IPL what he can do with the bat but yet to prove it in the international circuit. One to watch out for is the big-hitting Ben McDermott. Some of the cameos that he played in big bash league are something that Australians are looking forward to him to deliver in the big stage. Also, they have Marcos Stoinis in there as an All-rounder.

Press conferences:

Aaron Finch- “You can’t underestimate anyone in the Indian side. Obviously, Virat is probably the best player in the world at the moment and has been for some time in the two shorter formats in particular. There’s obviously been a bit of focus around Virat, but no more than Rohit, Shikhar or KL, or any of these guys who can be as damaging as anyone on their day”.

Virat Kohli-” They still have world-class cricketers. Obviously missing out on two of the best batsmen is not the ideal thing for any team but even then they have guys, especially in a limited-overs game, who can do damage at any given point of time”.
