India vs New Zealand: 1st T20I Preview

India vs New Zealand: India is heading into a 40 days tour of New Zealand starting with a 5 match T20 series. In New Zealand, Indian cricket team have lost 8 matches out of 11 matches played.

Having lost 2-1 T20 series last year, Indian team will be keen to bounce back against them.

Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the tournament due to the injury suffered on his left shoulder while in an attempt to stop the ball during the third ODI against Australia in Bangalore.

In addition, post injury of shikhar dhawan gives an opportunity for KL Rahul to bat at top order and express himself at that position where he is really comfortable playing in.

However it also gives an ample of chances youngster to prove their worth in lower middle order of Indian team.

Virat kohli hinted that KL Rahul would continue to keep wickets atleast for the first T20I of the series and that would give his side more depth and options to choose from.

Overseas condition always seems to be a challenge for Indian team, it will be interesting to see how will they the furios pace attack of Kiwis.
